As part of the Women’s Center’s Gender Talk series, Elizabeth Schmermund of the English Department will present on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 during Common Hour in NAB 2034. This talk will be about the recent opening of combat roles in the US military for women, and the fact that women have always served on the front lines, whether as medical military personnel or even living in combat zones. The talk will also address how women serve on the “home front,” a necessity for war-making to take place. The Gender Talks series is sponsored by the Women’s Center. A light lunch will be provided, and all are welcome!
