International English Honor Society Induction

On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 12 students from the English Department were inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, including undergraduate English majors Adrianna Gia Guarino, Mehnaz Hassan, Cheryl Ann Horne, Robert A. Iredell, Azahria John-Otway, Zoie-Marie Duvana McKay, Nicole V. Ordoñez, Maria Qureshi, Aleema Rafeek, Brianna Stamm, and Narinder Suniar and graduate student Jenna Marie Giordano, who is completing the MAT in Adolescence Education: English.  In addition, the Old Westbury chapter, Alpha Kappa Beta, was awarded a plaque from Sigma Tau Delta headquarters for 15 years of excellence, marking the anniversary of our chapter’s founding in 2001. To earn membership in Old Westbury’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, undergraduate students must possess a minimum of a 3.3 general GPA, an equivalent average in the English major, and have completed at least 60 credits of College work. Graduate students must maintain a 3.7 average and have completed at least five English courses for the program. Please join the English Department in congratulating the achievements of our inductees.

Alumni Reunion and Networking Reception
